Reminder: if you haven’t participated in an Emerald Isle meeting, there is one tonight in the gymnasium at 6:00 pm. Please be sure to attend.
We have all learned about the senseless shooting at UNC Charlotte and how this action in a different city reaches home to Asheville and touches us. Riley Howell was a member of the TCR soccer family. Not only was he a wonderful young man, but he was also one with a strong moral character. Riley chose to jump on his assailant in order to protect others. And this heroic action will endear him to many who never knew him.
Please offer support to the Howell family, their relatives, and all the many friends of Riley.

Emerald Isle photos have been uploaded and can be found by clicking HERE !!!!!
You can download any or all of the pictures from Shutterfly. If you have any issue with it, just let me know and I’ll help out. I do have backups of the photos too.
There is on *miscellaneous* folder of pictures. Some of these have been uploaded to tcrsoccer.com as well as some that were taken with my phone. A direct link to this folder is HERE.
I really think a lot of the photos came out really well! That said, the indoor soccer photos are much harder to capture with difficult lighting and fast pace of the games. I hope you enjoy them nonetheless. Click HERE for Shutterfly.
Enjoy the pictures !!
Today, we sleep in, take pictures on the beach, start to pack up (in anticipation of tomorrow morning), and hang out. There is still no swimming because the weather and the currents around the island didn’t cooperate this week. Still, there are a lot of smiles and laughing.
And then we have superlatives! Both the guys and the girls did a great job with them this year. The King of Emerald Isle is Hagan and the Queens are Keely and Devin Simmons.
